Why do we treat teenagers and young adults like animals? Society today says that these individuals are incapable of controlling themselves when it comes to sex. According to just about everything you read, like animals who have no willpower, teens & young adults are unable to keep their pants on so we must make sure they have birth control at their fingertips.
From that broad point of view, I guess since we evolved from apes then we still act like animals and thus are not able to be responsible for our own actions.
We have stopped requiring individuals to be responsible for their actions, thus we have created a society that runs wild. Even the church has preached so much on grace that many take that out of context and use it to cover all of what the Bible calls sin.
Hey, and adults aren’t much better. Many who are attending church regularly, calling themselves Christians are having sex out of wedlock and not thinking a thing about it.
So, why should we expect the youth to abide by what Jesus taught if we adults aren’t willing to do so?
Grow a backbone! Stand up against modern culture and keep your damn pants on! Show some self-control! God created sex as a good thing but in the right context. Sex is not something to dish out like a bean casserole at a potluck dinner. It’s no wonder we have so many damaged, broken people keeping therapists in nice homes, cars, boats, etc.
